Boy, do I have a list for you! So many good ones, but I will highlight a few of my favorites below. Also, I have a weekly Facebook Live on Thursdays where I share my latest TV and Movie recommendations. You can find that on Screens in Focus Facebook page.
Daisy Jones and The Six: Why is it so good? Maybe the 70’s nostalgia, great music, love triangles, the chemistry between the leads or the fact that Riley Keough, who plays Daisy Jones, is Elvis’ granddaughter. Also, it’s based on a book that was loosely inspired by Fleetwood Mac. Could there be any more of a draw? I have to say it's one of my favorites! The story is about the rise and fall of a fictional band in the 70s. I have enjoyed this TV series so much, we are doing a podcast episode. Look out for it later in April.
John Wick: Chapter 4: It’s so good! Stunning action sequences, impressive performances, fascinating lore and then there’s Keanu Reeves! Wow. just wow! I have always enjoyed Keanu Reeves movies, but he has become my favorite current actor! He is not only talented, but a really good guy. Look for another podcast episode on this one too!
Tulsa King (Paramount+) I have been a fan of Sylvester Stallone for awhile, so I was excited to see this one. Happy to report, it's really good. I haven’t seen him quite like this before, but he does a great job playing an ex-mafia capo banished to Tulsa, where he rebuilds a crew. Stallone as Dwight is great and so are the other characters. This series has a bit of humor, violence and drama.
