Hey there, screen lovers! It’s Friday, and if you’re anything like me, you’re ready to unwind with some fantastic TV shows and movies. Here’s my roundup of what to watch this weekend, including a snippet from my latest TikTok on “Bad Boys Ride or Die.”
Bad Boys Ride or Die
First up, let’s talk about “Bad Boys Ride or Die” with the legendary duo, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. This movie is a perfect blend of comedy and action. Their chemistry is off the charts! Marcus has a life altering experience that adds a humorous twist, while Mike faces some intense challenges. And don’t even get me started on that airplane scene – pure adrenaline! If you’re looking for a blockbuster hit, this is it.
House of the Dragon: Season 2, Episode 1 (MAX)
After a long wait, “House of the Dragon” is back with its second season, and it’s nothing short of epic. We dive straight into the aftermath of Rhaenyra’s grief over her son and her calculated steps to reclaim her throne. Without giving too much away, the last few minutes of the episode crank up the intensity in the battle between the Greens (aligned with Alicent and Aegon II) and the Blacks (supporting Rhaenyra). The Targaryen civil war is heating up, and it’s a must-watch!
Bridgerton: Season 3, Part 2 (Netflix)
I’ve also been indulging in “Bridgerton” Season 3, Part 2. Colin and Penelope’s journey continues as they navigate secrets and the true identity of Lady Whistledown. The drama is juicy, and the romance is swoon-worthy. We’ll be delving into this more in our upcoming podcast episode, so stay tuned!
Presumed Innocent (AppleTV)
For a gripping crime drama, check out “Presumed Innocent” on Apple TV. Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Rusty Sabich, a chief deputy prosecutor entangled in the murder investigation of his colleague, Carolyn Polhemus. I’ve watched three episodes so far, and I’m hooked. It’s a remake of the classic movie with Harrison Ford, and it’s every bit as thrilling.
Perfect Match: Season 2 (Netflix)
If reality TV is your guilty pleasure, “Perfect Match” Season 2 on Netflix is here! It’s full of drama, unexpected pairings, and plenty of entertainment. Some couples are worth rooting for, while others leave you scratching your head. It’s reality TV at its finest – or at least, the most fun!
The Boys: Season 4 (Prime Video)
I’ve been watching “The Boys” Season 4. It’s intense and definitely not for the faint of heart, with a lot of graphic content and a satirical take on superheroes. While the show can be quite perverse and isn’t my usual cup of tea, I keep tuning in – and I must admit, there’s something compelling about it. It’s popular for a reason, so if you’re curious, give it a try, but be prepared for its wild ride.
Shameless (Netflix)
I Just finished all 11 seasons of "Shameless" and I absolutely loved it! This series centers around a highly dysfunctional Gallagher family, led by the alcoholic father Frank, brilliantly played by William H. Macy. Despite their chaotic lives, you can't help but find something endearing about each family member, and there are plenty of laugh out loud moments!! The characters, actors, writing and direction are all top notch. It was a great watch, and I am sad it's over, but I have to highly recommend it!
That’s it for this week! Whether you’re in the mood for action, drama, comedy or a bit of reality TV, there’s something here for everyone.
Happy watching!
